About this Funding

The Certificate 3 Guarantee and Higher Level Skills Programs are part of the Queensland Government’s VET Investment Plan.

Certificate 3 Guarantee

A core element of the Queensland Government’s Working Queensland jobs plan is ensuring Queenslanders have access to quality training programs that deliver effective skills to meet employment and business demands. The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III level qualification and increase their skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance their career.

Higher Level Skills

The Higher Level Skills program supports the Queensland Government’s Working Queensland jobs plan. The program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to access one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV and above qualifications, or priority skill sets. The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.

Sherwood Institute of Australia as a Pre-Qualified Supplier

Certificate 3 Guarantee is given to all interested and qualified individuals only once, hence it is important to choose the right course and the pre-qualified supplier to take full advantage of this program. Sherwood Institute of Australia is a Pre Qualified Supplier that delivers Certificate 3 Guarantee Program administered by the Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE). This certification is the entry level qualification most often needed to gain employment in many industry sectors, thus we make sure that you get the quality training you need and deserve.

In Sherwood Institute of Australia, co-contribution fee represents the total non-government subsidised portion of essential training costs for the participant to undertake the course. This fee covers the enrolment charges, services, materials and all other expenses associated in delivering the training and/or assessment services, and awarding the certificate to the participant. Fees are declared on the course details.
