  • Qualification Description

    This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.

    They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

  • Study Load

    Study Load

    Students are required to attend classroom sessions 20 hours per week for the duration of the Qualification for 66 weeks. On top of Training and assessment, students are expected to spend allocated hours for each unit, to achieve the learning outcome of the unit of competency. This may constitute undertaking self-studies, research, attempting assessment tasks at home Students will be required to devote the allocated hours.

  • Delivery Location

    Training and assessment may be conducted by Sherwood Institute of Australia (SIA) at students’ own workplace, Training Centres, SIA campus (275 Heaths Road, Werribee, Victoria 3030).

    While conducting classes as student’s workplace, SIA expects the full cooperation of the workplace management staff during the course delivery at the workplace.

  • Entry Requirements

    There are no specific entry requirements are for this course.

    However, Sherwood Institute has got its own admission requirements:

    • Entry into this course requires successful completion of an Australian Year 12 qualification or equivalent. However, selection is not based purely on academic performance. Relevant work experience, work samples and other documentation submitted will also be considered.
    • In addition to meeting the academic requirements applicants must demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels when enrolling into the course. ACSF exit levels 3 are required for enrolment into this course.
    • All students must be of the age 18 years or over at the time of the scheduled course commencement.

    Recognition of Prior Learning

    Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.


    Credit Transfer

    Credit transfer is a process that provides students with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of a qualification based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes between matched qualifications.
